About Chris

Team Branigan

I’m a  husband, daddy, pastor, and follower of Jesus. I live in Southwest Fort Worth (Wedgwood area). That’s my wife, Kelly, our sons, Cormac and Thatcher,  and our chocolate Lab, Bear.

4.5 years ago, I became the lead pastor of a 50-year old church, Grace Tabernacle (formerly known as Wedgwood Church of the Nazarene). The church already had a long and beautiful history when I arrived.

But the world changed faster than the church changed. By 2013 the church decided to close and give its building to another church. But that plan fell through. That’s where I come in! And Jesus took us on an interesting journey into preparing for change and serving other churches and our neighborhood.

Our church building now houses 5 churches (soon to be 6), a funeral home (yep) that serves low-income families, a summer intern program, and an annual summer day camp that feeds thousands of meals.

In February 2017, Grace Tabernacle closed its doors. A few from the old church stuck around to help start a new church that launched October 14, 2018 – Renovation Community.

I’m a community pastor who plans on living in this community for a very long time. We love southwest Fort Worth, especially the Wedgwood area.

I also work a lot in my yard. I waive to people across the street as they drop off items at Goodwill. They have no idea who I am but I do it anyway. If you see me, feel free to waive back.

  1. Chris!
I was going to send you a card but I decided against it. My hand writing is atrocious! That is what happens when one uses a computer for work and everything else…..penmanship goes right out the window!! I wanted to let you know that I have been praying about someone very close to my heart and that is you and your family. Pepe and I have decided with prompting from Ruach Ha’Kodesh to share the blessings our Lord has bestowed upon us and to make a monthly commitment to you and Kelly for one year. This commitment is for both you and Kelly to decide how to best put it to use for the benefit of your family. We love y’all very much and we do all this for His glory. Shalom! Deb and Pepe
